George Dwight Aiken: A Dedicated Servant Leader
George Dwight Aiken is a licensed associate minister since 2007, recognized for his dedication to youth and young adult ministry on both local and national stages. Born to the late Gloria Crowder and George Aiken, his upbringing was immersed in church life. Pastor Aiken is privileged to be married to his childhood sweetheart, Jennifer Aiken, and together they are the proud parents of Genna Elyce and Gianna Elizabeth.
Since September 2023, Minister Aiken has been serving at the Heart of Worship Restoration Center in Philadelphia, Pa., making significant contributions under the guidance of his uncle, Senior Pastor, Bishop Dr. Kevin M. Aiken. Previously, Minister Aiken served as an Associate Minister at Upper Room Missionary Baptist Church under Pastor Carlton L. Aiken, Sr., and his grandfather, the late Bishop Joseph C. Aiken, Sr. Minister Aiken was called to preach the gospel at the age of twenty-four and has since gained over two decades of experience leading the Youth & Young Adult ministry at
Upper Room.
His dedication to creating a supportive family atmosphere for those in need, and for those who feel life's challenges are insurmountable, is reflected in his adherence to his grandfather’s motto, “No Room for Excuse Makers.” This guiding principle, instilled by Bishop Joseph C. Aiken, Sr., afforded critical leadership and fatherly guidance during Minister Aiken’s formative years. As the Youth Council Lead, he has been instrumental in mentoring youth & young adults and establishing collaborative partnerships with parents to foster spiritual growth.
